CalcQUEST — Privacy Policy
This policy describes what information CalcQUEST (“the app”) collects, how it’s used, and who it’s shared with. We’ve kept it short and plain because the app is simple and collects very little.
1. Information the app itself collects
None that identifies you. CalcQUEST does not create accounts, does not ask for your name, email, phone number, address, age, or any other personal information.
The app stores game progress (current level, scores, streaks, daily-completion history, settings preferences, premium purchase status) only on your device, in the app’s local storage. This data never leaves your device through any code we wrote. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted.
2. Information collected by third-party services
Google AdMob (advertising)
To fund free development of the app, CalcQUEST shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob is owned by Google LLC. When an ad is requested, AdMob may collect:
- An advertising identifier provided by your device (Android Advertising ID)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- General device information (model, OS version, language)
- App usage signals relevant to ad frequency capping
We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you. AdMob’s full privacy information, including user controls and opt-out options, is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
On first launch, the app shows a consent prompt (required by EU/UK regulations). Your choice is respected on every subsequent ad request.
Google Play Billing (premium purchase, if used)
If you purchase the premium upgrade, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment information directly; we only receive a “purchase confirmed” signal. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Information we do not collect
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone, government IDs)
- Financial information (handled entirely by Google Play Billing if applicable)
- Precise GPS location
- Contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera access
- Health or fitness data
- Any data for analytics or profiling beyond what AdMob uses to serve ads
4. Children
The app is rated for ages 10 and up and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not serve personalised ads to users who indicate they are children in the consent flow. If you believe a child has interacted with the app in a way that violates this policy, please contact us and we will investigate.
5. Security
Local game data is stored with an HMAC-SHA-256 integrity signature to prevent tampering. We do not transmit your game data to any server we control.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how, we will update the effective date above and (where changes are material) surface a notice in the app on next launch.
7. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information, there is typically no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. For any privacy question — including requests related to the advertising identifier or purchase records — contact support@aralabs.dev and we will respond within 30 days.
